YWCA Encore assists women who have had breast cancer surgery regain their mobility, flexibility and self-confidence through gentle exercise and support.
Established with donations from individuals and organisations, this fund is kept solely for the purpose of assisting Maori women’s projects. The YWCA of Greater Wellington administers the fund and the committee of women who make the funding allocations.
Nationally there are YWCA Outward Bound Scholarships available to young women who are 30 or under who because of economic hardship, are enabled to attend Outward Bound courses.
We have developed a successful leadership and mentoring programme for young women in schools. The Discover™ programme helps build confident young women who have the skills to realise their own potential, as well as inspiring and influencing others around them.
